Exactly my thought! lol
she's probably mixed so she just didn't notice
You mean her pointy ears weren't an obvious-enough indicator?
yeah the most reasonable logic there is that Kate is mixed and Lorea meant a full pledge race
its indeed weird
Iris: "I left the house to help pay off my family's debt"
Also Iris: Racking up her own stack of debt from Sarasa
Adelbert: "Thanks. But you are not helping"
I found it quite ludicrous that Adelbert readily trusted Barr just because "He's willing to shoulder the debt of a puny aristocrat family like ours". Because, taking in debt with a condition to marrying into the family doesn't sound sincere to me, TBH.
No wonder this guys ran into a huge debt.
Feels very much like Iris to just make things worse, lol
What a clown.
No wonder his daughter ended up in debt with Sarasa. XD
Ah... genetic XD
like father like daughter
When all you have is just kindness and too trusting to others.
Sadly, he's just a knight. If he had better education or experience in trading, he could've make a better fortune to avoid the debt while helping the villagers.
...become a bankster running a banking business, have the power to print $$$ out of thin air, then, put everyone else into debt... ????... PROFIT!!!
Bonus-Recommendation : Victoria Grant speech (how/why you/we are ALL in debt...)
"it's like slavery with extra steps"
It's like slavery without the overhead
That is the reason why the Realist Hero required the Lords to have people with education to handle the lands
Sarasa missed opportunity to make the whole family debt slaves to her.
It's a rather common trope. Nobility deride those who make money for making their fortune rather than inheriting a title, so a merchant seeking to expand their business buys a title either through direct financial contributions or marrying somebody who has a title but no money (turns out that a fancy title doesn't mean much if you can't afford the lifestyle). They still get mocked by upper nobility but now have their foot in the door and can expand their business. In the case of corrupt merchants they may have caused circumstances leading to debt in order to demand the beautiful young lady of the house.
I mean I don´t really see what would not be sincere about that. It´s obviously ment as a transaction, which has always been the primary driving force behind almost any marriage since the dawn of time. Frankly it would be weirder to not want anything for saving their noble house from collaps. Wealthy merchant marrying into an impoverished noble house to expand his prestige is pretty normal.
Of course it doesn´t mean the aftermath of such a deal would be ideal for the current members of the noble house, but it´s not like they have many other options.
That's side character trafficking, where do you think this is India?
Oh man, Kate's mom is just top tier MILF, amazing.
I thought Kate looked good but DAYUM.
It's really no surprise, with no real regulation companies and Land Owners aren't held accountable and can drive up prices or rates such as interest as much as they want
It's basically a payday loan for a noble
Kate: So to help out at least a little with all that, Iris became a gatherer. She didn't concern herself with the danger, even as a noble's daughter.
Me: And yet she lost an arm and nearly died.
At first I thought they are going to announce that Kate and Iris will become real sisters XD
yup, that's what i thought at first too. those two were 'knocking boots' and suddenly... Kate and Iris were going to have a half-sibling... so mummy and daddykins were getting hitched.
I mean, Kate has light skin. Mom has dark skin. Dad has light skin... They're close enough they traveled together to meet/get Iris and Kate...
... They're already real sisters, 90%.
Seeing how this Lord Adelbert takes anything at face value, he'll probably have another debt before they know it.
i dunno, the man didnt have much of a choice. At the very least, he should have done more research on who he was borrowing money from, and find an actual decent person to take out a loan from. I dont think i've ever seen a story in this era where someone takes out a loan from a good person. They're ALWAYS loan sharks.
Like K-drama: I'd swear the only way to get a loan in S. Korea is from thugs in tacky shirts LOL
What an educational anime that would be.
I feel like Sarasa shouldn't really have to pay for lava lizard purchases considering she single handedly took them all out in the first place... 😂
That cliffhanger with the salamander!!!! Boy oh boy can't wait to see what's going to happen next week!
they will make a citatap out of it... hinna hinna...
Great episode, and as always - Sarasa is just so amazing!!!!! I really like her character so much!!! 🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
yep, she practically did everything... gathered the ingredients, killed the monsters... everyone was there to look amazed.
I like her... She's not irritating.
Me,A LS main:
What is the relationship between the dad and mommy elf?
iirc, the mother of Iris and father of Kate were busy running the owned property while the father and mother elf was visiting
just a master and his attendant...
who occasionally bang on the side for recreation...
They forgot to put the losses with broken potions from the earthquake.
They'll add it on once they get back ... or, it's Lorea's turn to rack up debt since it happened under her supervision (just kidding), but seriously, it wouldn't make sense to add the losses quite yet since the trio group aren't at the shop to witness vials shattering.
Man... Sarasa-chan can absolutely take care of ANYTHING the forest's throw her way! Slashing Lava Dragons...She has ZERO FEAR! 🥺
Quite a thiccc boiii chillin‘ down there huh :3
Be shady merchant
Pull shady shenanigans to marry a minor noble's daughter, angling to profit
Minor noble's daughter proceeds to bury you in debt
Bankruptcy
there's your money....now she just need to kill it
He just have to say 'no homo' at the end of his phrases, haha.
Lmao i knew it. Sarasa makes all her revenue from debt payments. She went red the moment Iris and Kate stopped payments this week.
0:09 Gonna guess she doesn't consider Kate a Elf, anime logic?
18:17 Very true, in 1986. Poisonous gas eruption killed 2,000 in Cameroon.
23:37 Net loss this episode, but Sarasa will probably gain that back if they can harvest the Salamander in the volcano.
Got to the point that Sarasa, carried the episode by herself, Lol!!! And why does she need gatherers!?!!
When Kate and Iris's parents showed up, and when they went to investigate the reason on the Flame Grizzly Frenzy, it seemed they could have the same root cause. But just looks like bad luck and coincidence.
More than likely, last two episodes will focus these last two problems, with Kate and Iris's parents for the final episode.
i was expecting Kirk to have been constructing something in the mountains or mining the hellflame stones, causing the grizzlies to leave the mountain. But i guess i was wrong
Odd…Lorea says it’s the first time she’s seen someone from a different race, but what about Kate?
